2500 horsepower and a top speed nearing 500km/h (310mph): The 2009 Mosler MT900 GTR XX

Those who keep up with the auto world will have an idea of what a Mosler looks like. The all-American super car company has just announced it is getting ready to produce the fastest and most powerful sports car ever. The Mosler MT 900 GTR XX will have a 2500hp gasoline/methanol/hydrogen/ethanol twinturbocharged 6.2 liter V8. That’s over twice the power of a Bugatti Veyron but still two and a half times less then a Top Fuel Dragster (8000hp). The top speed is set at 490km/h (305mph) and the 0-240km/h (150mph) comes in under 6.7 seconds. The car is scheduled for testing in the summer of 2009 and we’ll only believe these incredible performance figures once they have been made official by and independent observer.

These statistics are actually incorrect. The Mosler MT900 GTR XX produces 600hp and does not have these stats. These statistics come from a modified car by John Gocha. To find out for yourself search it on worldcarfans.com
